Feature Journal of the Week [Feb. 24th, 2009|01:34 pm]
Charlotte Amalie High School Yearbook Class 2009

Good day, Yearbook! I hope you had fun during yesterday's Special Edition of the Yearbook class. My hope is that you all take something away from the experience...whether it be more understanding for the people who share room 199B with you during 3rd period every day, or feeling more like the group understands you.

Today I am here to post the Feature Journal of the Week. I will be doing this every week, but you don't need me to do it to post your journal here! If you want the class to see your work, feel free to post to the community and your journal and share your blog. :)

This week's journal of the week is.....(drumroll please!).....

Jerry Farrington! Jerry has been posting a "Bar of the Day," some his own, some by other well-known artists, and interpreting/explaining the meanings in his comments. Be sure to drop by and check out the Bar of the Day and leave your comments and thoughts on the lyrics he leaves!

That's all for today, folks! Please remember to get your ad/patron money to me by Friday, be ready for a Bake Sale next Friday, and get AMPED for Sunday's Yearbook Hike!!! :)

Yearbook Community! [Feb. 17th, 2009|02:05 pm]

Good day Chickenhawks! I hope you enjoyed your three-day weekend!

Today was an especially exciting day for both English 12 and yearbook students. English 12 students were treated to a 3-round review game of the novel Lucy, while the yearbook students got to finally start their own personal BLOGS. Hurray!

A community in which all yearbook students can be found is located at cahsyearbook09.livejournal.com. It's a little empty now, but soon enough, the yearbook students will be displaying their best work there. :) I look forward to seeing what you all have to share with the world!

I hope my English 12 students are ready for the Lucy test tomorrow; it's running through the copier now and will be waiting for you tomorrow morning. Don't stay up too late studying tonight!

Yearbook students: tomorrow I will show you how to add pictures to your posts. You can look forward to many new cool things to come!

English 12, I know there have been some questions about the research paper. Never fear! Research paper development will commence after the Lucy test!

Keep sharp, seniors, you're on your way to wearing that cap and gown!
